My name is Rhonda Duncan. I am the Curriculum Coordinator at Beach Babies in Lewes. I am the mother of three children, Deandre, Jamar and Altrice and an honored grandmother of one, Nylah. I have been in the Early childhood Education field for 13 years. I began my journey at Beach Babies in January 2013 when I moved here from Virginia. During this time I have been a Teacher, bus driver, summer camp counselor and assistant administrator. I recently was given this wonderful opportunity to work in the capacity of Curriculum Coordinator. This has been my life-long dream. I have an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education along with a Medical Assistant License, I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood from Ashford University. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, while being an active member in my church, where I am one of the ministers. I am excited about this opportunity to work with such an amazing Beach Babies Family and continue to insure the best quality of care for all the children and their families.
Front Desk Admin Assistant
In 2006 I retired from my career of 39 years with the same organization in Lancaster, Pa. I moved to the Rehoboth area and spent 14 months settling into my new home and making new friends. After deciding that retiring full time wasn’t for me, I looked for a part-time position and was hired by Beach Babies in 2007. I enjoy the interaction with the children, parents and staff. I work at the front desk and do a variety of tasks, including answering the phone, taking payments, filing, enrolling new children, reports and whatever else Is required.
In my spare time, I travel to visit my 2 children, 5 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren in Lancaster and Syracuse, NY. Several times a year I vacation with friends I met in school many years ago. I love to travel and have been to many states and Cyprus when my son was in the Marines.
I hope to continue working at Beach Babies for many more years.
