Director of Education
My name is Britney Corbett and I grew up in Dover, Delaware. I currently live in Middletown, Delaware with my husband and our two beautiful children, Arya and Nova. Both of my children attend Beach Babies and I love having them close by and watching them learn and grow on a daily. I have been working for Beach Babies since 2018. I have been working in the early childhood field since 2009 and have loved every minute of it. I graduated from Wilmington University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education Studies with the focus of Elementary Education. My career goal was to be an elementary school teacher, however my heart is in the early childhood field. My passion is now helping our teachers and staff thrive in their classrooms. In my spare time I love reading, doing puzzles, playing games, and of course making memories with my family and friends.
My name is Lakeyia Allen and my hobbies include reading paranormal fiction and taking long drives.
I have been in the field of early childhood education for eighteen years. During that time, I have held the positions of an assistant teacher, lead teacher, and assistant director. I have had the opportunity to work and be a role model to numerous children. I have also had the privilege of sharing my knowledge with college students and professionals in the field of education. I am always trying to find ways to improve my skills as an early childhood educator and to provide knowledge on the different needs of children.
I graduated from Delaware Technical and Community College with an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education 0 to K and Early Childhood Development. I further obtained a Bachelor Degree in General Studies from Wilmington University. In addition, I completed courses to acquire my Director’s Credential for Delaware as well as my National Director Credential to broaden my knowledge in Early Childhood Administration.
I live in Milford Delaware with my husband and our two children. I graduated from the University of Delaware in 2010 with a degree in History Education. I began working at Beach Babies in the summer of 2009. Currently both of my children attend the center. It is very reassuring to have them close by and in good hands each day. Over the years, I have met many wonderful families and have learned a great deal about the early child care field. I really enjoy working with the children, our teachers, and the families at the center. In my spare time I love reading, going to the beach, and spending time with my family and friends.
